Sox and Mischief

Sox and Mischief, adopted from Chestnut Cat SanctuaryAlice Evans got in touch with news of two fantastic boys adopted from us recently...Sox and Mischief, a pair of literate, music loving cats, it seems!

As soon as Sox and Mischief arrived at our house, they bolted into a hole in the kitchen floor, and hid there for a few days only coming out for food!

We heard meowing, and tried to get them out, but they stayed there stubbornly. Until one night, when we were cooking roast beef, two black and white faces popped out of the hole, followed by the rest of the cats.

They were very friendly, and did not return to their hideout underneath the kitchen.

Sox and Mischief, adopted from Chestnut Cat SanctuaryBoth of the cats love to be read to, and our always there when a bedtime story is being read. Mischief also has a taste for Schubert's waltzes, and often tries to join in with the playing!

There are certain spots in the house which they have claimed as their own territory; for example, Sox quite often spends time in a picnic hamper, and Mischief under the bed.

They are very healthy, growing boys, and love their food. They are also quite active, when they are not having their tummies tickled!

We have grown very attached to Sox and Mischief, and hope that they have grown attached to us (judging by the purring cat on my lap, I think they have).

I have also attached a picture of them.

Yours Sincerely,
Alice Evans

Thanks Alice! If memory serves, Schubert was a cat lover too... all very appropriate!
