Maddie and Fergus

Maddie and Fergus, rescue cats adopted from Chestnut Cat Sanctuary in EssexJenni emailed us with some photos, to let us know how Maddie and Fergus were getting on a couple of weeks after moving into their new home.

Hello!
2 weeks ago (June '08) I adpoted Maddie and Fergus, 2 10 year old tabbies, and I just thought I'd update you on their progress!

Fergus, a rescue cat adopted from Chestnut Cat Sanctuary in EssexFergus settled right in and was a curious old soul, wanting to explore everywhere and get attention from everyone!!

His favourite places when I wasn't looking were the top of the fridge freezer, and on top of the television!

I knew he'd settle in really quickly and it's wonderful to see how happy he has become.

Maddie, a rescue cats adopted from Chestnut Cat Sanctuary in EssexMaddie was a lot more hesitant and first, and even wasn't very accepting of Fergus. She seemed frightened and timid, but how much she has changed in 2 weeks!

She's a little chatterbox now, and is always first in the queue to jump up onto my lap when I get home from work, for a good tickle under the chin and a dribble!! She's even really accepting of Fergus now, often washing his head and allowing him to wash hers, and they regularly run up the stairs for a snuggle together on my bed!!

Maddie and Fergus, rescue cats adopted from Chestnut Cat Sanctuary in EssexThey have made me so happy and have brought the place to life, and above all, it's so wonderful to see the change in them and how happy they both seem!

Maddie wasn't impressed at being in the sanctuary but she has come to life here and is a wonderful companion!

And as for Fergus, well I expect he can't wait to go out and explore the big wide world and see what more there is in store!

Thank you so much for 2 lovely cats!!
Kind regards,
Jenni
xx

Thanks Jenni!
