Jaya the beautiful Birman

Jaya, a beautiful Birman adopted from Chestnut Cat SanctuaryWe had a lovely email about Jaya, a beautiful Birman cat adopted from us a few months ago by Jackie and Carl Long, and their daughter Bethany.

Bethany wrote to us to say:

Hello Cat Sanctuary,

My name is Bethany Long and I am 12 years old. My family recently adopted a Birman cat named Jaya about 3-4 months ago.

Jaya the Birman, in suitably Birman-coloured surroundings! She was frightened at first but soon came out of her shell.

All day she will sleep or just laze about on the floor and at night she sits at the bottom of the stairs meowing and then coming up and jumping on everyones bed.

Jaya has lovely blue eyes and gorgeous fluffy fur

She is one of the most loving cats ever and I would like to say thank you for helping us adopt her.

Thank you,

Bethany Long

We're glad you like her so much Bethany - we did too!

Jaya looks regal on redJaya must be a popular cat, because we also had an email from Les Cornwell, who's married to Jackie's sister.

His son, Alex, did such a fantastic job raising money for us on his recent sponsored mini-marathon.

Les confirmed what everyone says - Jaya is a fantastic, very loving cat. And we agree!

Our thanks to you all for your messages and pictures.
