Frankie and Benny

Frankie and Benny, happy cats adopted from Chestnut Cat Sanctuary in EssexKaty Newman got in touch to let us know how she was getting on with 'Delboy and Rodney', two cats adopted from us recently and now renamed Frankie and Benny! Sounds like they're settling in just fine...

Hi, just a quick note to let you know that the boys are settling in well.

It's amazing what difference a week makes. Last Sunday I collected 2 scared little cats and brought them home. Tonight they are both sprawled out, purring like they have lived here forever.

Frankie, a homeless cat successfully adopted from Chestnut Cat SanctuaryFrankie was bold as brass pretty much as soon as he got here but his little brother Benny hid under the kitchen cupboards for 2 days before I managed to coax him out. His confidence in me has grown really quickly though.

It will take some time for us to get to know each other properly. Just today I discovered that Benny is really scared of tissues!

If only I could speak 'cat' I'd tell them just how safe they are now and how much I love them already, but as I can't , I will carry on giving them lots of cuddles and spoiling them to let them know.

Benny, another homeless cat successfully adopted from Chestnut Cat SanctuaryI came to Chestnut because I lost my gorgeous little cat Lily who died after a road accident.

Frankie and Benny want to go out - but like any newly adopted cat, they can't!Whilst I am still very sad about Lily, the boys are definitely taking my mind off it.

I think that you are doing a great job and am so pleased that I came to you to find my new furry friends.

I've attached a couple of photos and will see you soon when they come in for their jabs.

Thanks Katy - it's always great to hear about successful adoptions. We wish you lots of happiness with Frankie and Benny!
