Caleb, huge and sleepy!

Caleb - a large, friendly black cat adopted from Chestnut Cat Sanctuary in EssexJane Bouchard wrote at the beginning of May 2008, to tell us how she's getting on with a huuuge black-haired boy adopted from us just a few days ago.

When he came to the Sanctuary his name was House. Now he has a new name, a loving owner and a great new home!

Hello!!

Just wanted to give you an update on House - who picked me on Saturday.

Well we had a lot of crying all the way home but that was only to be expected.

Sleepyhead...Caleb finds it hard to relax in his new surroundings! By the time he'd been at mine for a few hours he was more than happy to sit next to me on the sofa for a bit of a belly rub followed by a nap, as you can hopefully see from the attached pic.

I had to change his name (just not fair on him) and he's now called Caleb - which he seems fairly happy with!

I'm letting him get used to his new home at his own pace (the downstairs is open-plan so a bit of a large territory) and we're getting on well.

He got a bit scared with the heavy rain the other day (I have a conservatory so it was LOUD throughout the house) and he wasted no time in jumping onto my lap for a hug!

We'll be seeing you soon (for his 2nd shot).

Thanks Jane - we look forward to seeing you and Caleb soon!
