Billy, a black and white cat adopted from Chestnut Cat Sanctuary in EssexWe had a great email with photos from Billy (via Judy and Steve) to let us know how he's been getting on since he was adopted from us...

Hello lovely ladies at Chestnuts!

Sorry it’s taken so long to update you on my fabulous new life, but it’s been busy! After spending my first couple of months at a lovely flat in Epping, we all moved out to the countryside near Bristol.

Billy, a black and white cat adopted from Chestnut Cat Sanctuary in EssexIt’s a lovely part of the world, as you can see I enjoy getting back to nature in my garden.

I spend a lot of time here, watching the birds, shouting at that cat who lives next door, and having a little gallop across the grass (I’m getting pretty good at running and jumping these days).

I’ve got my own cat flap, and this garden is nice and secure so I can get my fresh air without any danger. I get quite a bit of exercise outside, and I like to play indoors every day too.

Billy, a black and white cat adopted from Chestnut Cat Sanctuary in EssexWhat with everything else, sometimes I’m just not that interested in food!! I’m toning up nicely, and I’m hoping to drop a bit more weight to make sure I can always fit through the cat flap (it was a bit of a squeeze at first!).

Indoors we’ve got a lot of carpet which I prefer to a slippy wooden floor, and I’ve got a lovely big window sill in the living room where I keep watch over the neighbourhood when it’s raining.

Billy, a black and white cat adopted from Chestnut Cat Sanctuary in EssexBut most of all, I love laying in front of the fire and getting a good rub….I certainly make my presence felt if I don’t think I’m getting enough attention.

I’m a very sociable boy and I like it when we all watch telly in the evenings and cuddle up on the sofa.

Billy, a black and white cat adopted from Chestnut Cat Sanctuary in EssexLife here is good, but of course I miss you all and want to say thanks for taking such good care of me in the sanctuary until I found my new home.

Lots of love and kisses, Billy.
(and Judy & Steve)
