Barney, the champion purrer!

Barney, a very happy purry ginger and white boy adopted from Chestnut Cat Sanctuary in EssexPamela and Graham wrote to us just before the New Year, to let us know how they were getting on with Barney...

My husband Graham and I recently adopted Simon (Sunday 28th December).

We have renamed him Barney – due to being found in a barn – and we are pleased to say he has settled in really well.

Barney, a very happy purry ginger and white boy adopted from Chestnut Cat Sanctuary in EssexYou told us to put him in a quiet room – well that lasted all of 5 minutes before his was roaming the house before finally finding a cosy warm spot under a chair near the radiator.

Barney, a very happy purry ginger and white boy adopted from Chestnut Cat Sanctuary in EssexI have attached a couple of photos of him, 1 taken about 4 hours after his arrival at home (sitting on the sofa), the other taken the next morning after breakfast on the back of the sofa.

The last picture shows Barney sound asleep in his basket, it’s a hard life being a cat!

Barney, a very happy purry ginger and white boy adopted from Chestnut Cat Sanctuary in EssexHe loves sitting at the window looking out at all what is happening and I am sure he has already noticed the locals and cannot wait to get out and join them.

The Chestnut website said he could purr for England, if it ever becomes an Olympic event he will easily win a gold medal.

Will keep you posted on his progress

Best regards,
Pamela & Graham Hards

Thanks for your email and photos - it's great to see how well he's getting on!
